SES is one of the world’s leading satellite communications operators, with capabilities to serve government, aviation, maritime, and global broadband markets. In 2025, SES completed the acquisition of global satellite operator Intelsat, integrating the satellite assets and spectrum resources of both companies to further strengthen its global connectivity capabilities.

Following the merger, SES owns and operates approximately 90 Geostationary Orbit (GEO) satellites and 30 Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) satellites, forming a comprehensive multi-orbit satellite network. This positions SES as one of the world’s largest multi-orbit satellite communications operators, delivering high-performance and reliable connectivity services to customers worldwide.
