Seamless Connectivity at Sea — When Every Signal Counts
Whether you're navigating polar waters or cruising tropical seas, the Intellian C700 is your steadfast companion — delivering robust L-band broadband, real-time voice, and vessel intelligence wherever your voyage leads.
What is the Intellian C700?
The Intellian C700 is a satellite communications system purpose-built for maritime use. It allows vessels to stay connected — even when sailing beyond the reach of shore-based signals — by enabling internet access, voice calls, and data transmission at sea.
It operates on the Iridium Certus® network, a global satellite system based on Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites. Compared to traditional systems, it offers:
🔹 Truly Global Coverage
Including the Arctic and Antarctic
🔹 Lower Latency
Faster than GEO satellite systems
🔹 Greater Stability and Reliability
Especially in rough seas or during antenna movement
What can it do?
🔹 Satellite voice calls
Built-in voice lines enable crew communication
🔹 Data transmission
Connects to onboard systems, sensors, or computers to send data ashore
🔹 IoT / telemetry support
Enables remote diagnostics, tracking, and machine-to-machine communication
🔹 VSAT backup link
Acts as a backup communication channel when the primary VSAT system goes offline (via L-band switching)
Who is it for?
The Intellian C700 is ideal for:
🔹 Commercial vessels (cargo ships, tankers, ferries)
🔹 Fishing vessels — especially long-range operations
🔹 Yachts and private boats
🔹 Naval and coast guard ships
🔹 Polar or high-latitude mission vessels
It’s especially suitable for users who require reliable connectivity, global coverage, and long-duration offshore performance.
Key Features
The C700 taps into the Iridium Certus® L-band network and 66 LEO satellites, ensuring pole-to-pole coverage. Even under low elevation angles or in challenging sea states, its 12 patch phased-array antenna and H2 class high power amplifier hold the link steady.
Use the C700 as your primary terminal or as a VSAT companion for hybrid network redundancy. Seamlessly switch between networks or run parallel links — ensuring uninterrupted operation even in demanding conditions.
More than just a satellite data terminal, the C700 integrates three-line HD voice support, an embedded soft PBX, multi-SIP extension capability, analog phone support, as well as built-in Wi-Fi, firewall, and routing functions—transforming a single C700 into the communication hub of the entire vessel.
With no moving parts and a fully solid-state design, it offers up to 10 years of operational lifespan without the need for routine mechanical maintenance. Its rugged enclosure ensures stable performance in temperatures ranging from –25 °C to +55 °C.
An embedded firewall, TLS/HTTPS, API access, and integration options allow you to lock down the system and adapt it to future vessel intelligence platforms.
A Full Communications Nexus
The Intellian C700 redefines what a maritime L-band terminal can be. Leveraging a 12-element phased-array antenna and H2 amplifier, it delivers uplink speeds of up to 352 kbps and downlink up to 704 kbps — even when satellites hover at low angles.
With three simultaneous HD voice lines, Wi-Fi, a built-in router, firewall, and support for 16 SIP phones, it transforms a single dome into a full communications nexus.
Whether configured as the vessel’s primary broadband link or paired in a hybrid network with VSAT, the C700 offers seamless failover. Its rugged, solid-state design — capable of operating between –25 °C and +55 °C — is built to outlast expectations, with ten years of reliable service and no scheduled mechanical maintenance.
For shipowners, fleet operators, and explorers who demand unwavering connectivity, the C700 is not just a satellite terminal — it's the backbone you trust across oceans.
